The new BMD Video Assist 4k Cage Kit with Handles from SHAPE is a wearable, form-fitting cage for your BMD monitor. Two adjustable handles (2x HAND1) and a neck strap provide a secure grip for the user.

The new BMD Video Assist 4k Cage from SHAPE will be your most reliable protector in the field for your new monitor once you start to shoot. It combines a strong CNC aluminum frame with a functional design from SHAPE in order to give you the creative freedom you need for your film or video production. Beautifully crafted and precisely molded, it allows you to easily insert SD cards, quickly plug and unplug cables and even firmly secure your HDMI connections when you're recording or monitoring what is happening in front of the camera. You won't lose your mind guessing where the right connections are when using the new SHAPE Cage for the BMD Video Assist because we've taken care of engraving all the connections and socket names upon the structure of our product. Also, we've put six 3/8-16 and fourteen 1/4-20 threaded holes on the top of the cage to let you add a lot of accessories. The included SHAPE ICON monitor series support allows you to take advantage of the SHAPE HAND1 Push-Button Monitor Handles, so you'll be able to bring your scene all around the set, placing your monitor on virtually any surface. This product is made in Canada and of CNC aluminum and covered by our lifetime warranty.



BMD 4k video assist cage (VA4KCAGE)

The SHAPE BMD 4K Video Assist Cage is compatible with the Blackmagic Design Video Assist 4K 7″ Monitor and also supports a line of SHAPE ICON accessories, such as the ICON Rod Bloc and ICON Director’s Kit with Handles.
The Video Assist Cage leaves access to the monitor’s SD card slot and all input/output ports, and additionally features the names of all the ports marked in white beside them so you can find the right ones quicker on the fly.
The Video Assist Cage is made of CNC aluminum and offers six 3/8″-16 and fourteen 1/4″-20 threaded mounting holes on the top, and a single 3/8″-16 threaded hole on the bottom for attaching it to various supports. It also comes with a 1/4″-20 reducer for the 3/8″-16 hole on the bottom, expanding compatibility with virtually all support gear.

Single handle Arri rosette (HAND1)

Single ARRI Rosettes handgrip that can be attached to cameras or camera support hardware that has standard ARRI rosettes. The arm features two points of articulation (1 Push-button, 1 ratchet knob) allowing you to adjust the arm for your comfort. The Push-button allows you to rotate and precisely position the rubber handgrips. The ratchet knob lever near the rosette allows additional articulation of the handle at this level. The arm attach to your camera or support via an ARRI compatible rosette with spring-loaded locking levers, which allow you to lock your arms in place.
SHAPE is well known for its patented Push-button handle, now used by so many professionals in the industry. The technology was developped to give filmakers quick and easy adjustment. By simply pressing the button, you are allowed a 360-degree rotation to place the handle in the best position for your use.
