Panasonic Lumix S1R/S1 cage

The SHAPE Panasonic Lumix S1R/S1 cage is targeted at filmmakers, videographers and photographers who want a simple, hassle-free and ergonomic cage design that really works.  Specifically designed for the Panasonic Lumix S1R/S1 cameras, the form-fitting cage offers additional protection and securely locks the camera to the cage. It also provides easy access to all controls and ports as well as multiple attachment points for accessories.



The SHAPE Panasonic Lumix S1R/S1 Cage enables easy access to all the camera’s features such as the control buttons, the side outputs, the memory card, the battery compartment and the lens release button, allowing you to save time while shooting. Further, the support between the lens and the camera grip is designed to anticipate a clearing for the fingers when the camera is handheld, allowing an ergonomic grip. You can install the camera in the cage with a ¼-20 screw integrated into the cage, with the ¼-20 Allen key secured under the cage with magnets. The bottom of the cage provides the user with (4) ¼-20 and (1) 3/8-16 threaded holes for quick release tripod plate attachment. The position is secured to the back and sides of the cage, so it doesn’t move forward when equipped with a heavier lens. You can also attach a delta plate adapter underneath the cage to mount it on a quick release plate to rapidly switch from a tripod to a handheld setup.



Additionally, all the doors and latches are fully operable when the camera is in the cage. Its easy-to-use and clever design enables you to operate the camera without having to remove the cable doors, and the strap hooks can remain attached to the camera while inserted in the cage. It is also equipped with an effective cable retainer system for all three of the left side cables to secure their use. The cage is also compatible with a full-sized HDMI cable protector lock to secure the use of your HDMI 4K cable. By leaving an open access to the hot shoe on top of the camera, you can install the Panasonic audio unit. You can mount many accessories using several mounting options including (1) cold shoe mount located on the top of the cage as well as (2) Arri Standard 3/8″-16 anti-rotating hole pattern and ¼-20 threaded mounting holes. Made from CNC machined aluminum, the cage allows the camera to be held securely in place and restricts it from rotating by being attached with two anti-rotating tabs at the front.





Quick Release Rod Base System and Metabones® Adapter

The cage is connected to its base via the new SHAPE Quick Release Rod Base System using a specifically designed 15 mm rod bloc system for the optical center of the Panasonic Lumix S1R/S1 camera. It allows quick mounting and dismounting of the camera and the cage can easily snap in and be quickly removed from its 15 mm LW base by pressing the release button at the rear of the mount for handheld shooting. A pair of SHAPE 15 mm 10″ Aluminum Rods (15TUBE10) connect into your camera rig, extend it, and let you add various SHAPE and third-party accessories compatible with 15 mm rods. With these two rods and with a few fundamental accessories, you can most certainly even begin building your own rig from scratch. The rods are each 15 mm in diameter, 10 inches long, hollow, non-threaded, and made of reliable aluminum coated with a clear finish.



Changing the lens or adding a Metabones® Adapter can be done easily while keeping the camera in the cage. SHAPE created a removable Metabones® Adapter Support Bracket specifically designed for the Panasonic Lumix S1R/S1 camera that is integrated in the cage. Fixed with 2 screws, the bracket’s height is easily adjustable and provides 15 mm of vertical adjustment. It supports the weight and reduces the stress on the camera lens mount. When there is no Metabones® Adapter, simply unscrew the 1/4″-20 screw to quickly remove the bracket.



Wooden Push-Button Top Handle

The ergonomic and easily removable SHAPE Top Handle was designed to provide the required space for mounting the Panasonic Lumix S1R/S1 Audio Unit. It offers a comfortable and secure wooden grip for carrying your camera and securing accessories. It also features the SHAPE Push-Button Technology, enabling you to balance the weight and rotate the handle in the position you need for a 360-degree axis. SHAPE is well known for its patented Push-button handle, now used by so many professionals in the industry. The technology was developed to give filmmakers quick and easy adjustment. By simply pressing the button, you are allowed a 360-degree rotation to place the handle in the best position for your use. Push, adjust, release, and then its locked.



This nicely crafted Push-Button Top Handle provides multiple mounting options, including ARRI Standard 3/8″-16 anti-rotating hole patterns on the top, SHAPE Standard 1/4″-20 anti-rotating hole patterns on the top and side, cold shoe mounts, and a 3/8″-16 UNC threaded hole at the front. The SHAPE Rod Clamp at the front (15CTH) can be added, allowing you to directly mount a 15 mm rod onto the handle. Made of CNC Aluminum, the 15 mm LW Clamp (15CTH) can be easily attached to the top Handle. The clamp is designed to support a 15 mm rod such as the SHAPE REVOLT EVF Mount Bracket. The ratchet knob clamp lets you adjust and strongly fix the position of the 15 mm rod to the SHAPE Top Handle and (2) cold shoe mounts, one at the front of the handle and one at the back.

SHAPE kit focus single rod follow focus 15 mm LWs (FA123)

Use the compact SHAPE Follow Focus Kit with Single 15 mm Rod Clamp with your camera setup to make focus pulling easy. The modular design allows you to add and remove any of the components without screws or tools, and its small profile allows the addition of a matte box or accessories around your lens.  At the core of the kit is a rubber, anti-slip follow focus wheels attached to a single aluminum 15 mm rod clamp. The clamp rotates to adjust to most lens sizes, and it's tightened by a locking lever. The clamp's rotation also allows the focus wheel to easily swing out of the way when changing lenses. Five drive gears are included to fit a variety of lens sizes: 0.5 MOD/78T, 0.6 MOD/64T, 0.8 MOD/38T, 0.8 MOD/43T, and 0.8 MOD/78T. The gears can be flipped from front to back to facilitate different lens configurations. A 49 mm rubber friction wheel is also included for the 0.5 MOD/78T gear which is most commonly used with DSLR lenses. For alternate fine-focus configurations, use the included speed crank or 11" whip, both of which attach to the center point of the knob. Four magnetic marking disks are included to attach to the focus wheel.



At the center of the knob, an ARRI-standard accessory port for attaching separately available accessories such as a whip or a speed crank;

All gears can be flipped to the front or back position which is helpful for compact lens configurations;

Two rotation points (one on the rod and one on the body) allowing you to get the follow focus perfectly aligned vertically on the side of the camera body;

Swing Arm Design allows you to simply pull the follow focus away from the lens for a quick lens change then you can push it back into place when you're ready;

A compact design takes little space, so you can still attach a matte box to the front;

Use the swing arm to properly align the follow focus and then you can tighten the thumbscrew on the bottom to keep it in place.



Matte box 4x5.6 (MAT4X56)

The 2-Stage 4 x 5.6" matte box from SHAPE can be used as a clip-on matte box and can be mounted on industry-standard 15 mm rod system. It is designed for light control, insertion, and adjustment of filters. It features a two-stage rotating 4 x 5.6" filter holder. The matte box accepts lenses with a front diameter up to 114 mm. It comes with a 82 mm filter ring and six step-up rings that allow you to fit lenses with an outer diameter (52-82, 58-82, 62-82, 67-82, 72-82, 77-82)mm.
