Shape Blackmagic cinema camera shoulder mount offset bundle - BMBUNDLE

SHAPE's Blackmagic Cinema Camera Shoulder Mount Offset Bundle is a 15 mm LWS shoulder-mountable cinema rig designed specifically for the Blackmagic Cinema Camera. The offset design  allows you to comfortably monitor your shots and control the camera from its rear touch-screen LCD. The bundle features essential rig components, including a camera cage with 15 mm top and bottom rod support, follow focus, 2-stage matte box that accept 4x4" filters, and a rod-mountable cheese plate useful for attaching a battery plate. For shoulder mounting, a compact shoulder pad is included, along with dual handgrips that features SHAPE's push-button technology for quick angle adjustment. To reduce the weight of the rig on your shoulder and arms, this bundle also includes a telescopic support arm that connects to an included belt, serving to distribute some of the rig weight to your hips.
Camera cage
The cage is made from CNC-machined aluminum and weighs just 5.8 lb. It includes an adjustable top handle with patented 360° push-button technology. Both the cage and the top handle are threaded with multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 screw mounts for full flexibility in mounting accessories like EVF, monitor, lights, mics, etc. The bottom of the cage has screw mounts for attaching a tripod plate and is designed with a pocket for camera ventilation. The shoulder pad is comfortable and removable with a single red knob for fast and easy adjustment. It also slides on any 15 mm lightweight system.

Quick handle rod bloc (HAND5)

The SHAPE Quick handle rod bloc is a professional video stabilization accessory with 2 camera handle grips, each providing an individual rotation angle of 360°. You can attach the handle to the camera platform using a simple screw knob. A simple Push-Button located at the articulation allows easy attachment and removal. Combined with the anodized aluminum rod bloc, the quick handle offers composite camera support for all 15 mm rods. You can achieve precise positioning by sliding the Quick Handle along the rods and tightening the small red knob located on the Rod Bloc. The rod bloc is designed with 2 screw-threaded holes allowing the mounting of the Quick Handle.
SHAPE is well known for its patented Push-button handle, now used by so many professionals in the industry. The technology was developped to give filmakers quick and easy adjustment. By simply pressing the button, you are allowed a 360-degree rotation to place the handle in the best position for your use. Push, adjust, release, and then its lock.

Composite mini shoulder pad (SHPAD3)

The SHAPE mini composite shoulder pad is padded for superior comfort and is made of slip-free material. It is designed with a 15 mm rod block on top allowing to hold 15 mm rods for camera and accessories to be attached. The screw knob allows to attach SHAPE counter-weight (PAD1, PADCW1). By adding extra male-female rods at the back, you can also attach a counter-weight behind the same rods. This way, your body can easily supports the weight of the camera and its accessories. The shoulder pad is also the perfect solution for switching rapidly from shoulder to tripod without having to remove the shoulder pad. It can remain on the camera rig permanently.

Matte box 4x4 (MATT44)

The SHAPE 2-Stage 4 x 4″ Matte Box accepts lenses with up to a 100 mm front outside diameter. It mounts to 15 mm LWS rods and utilizes a swing-away design, which lets you perform quick lens changes without having to remove the matte box from your rods. You can adjust the height of the matte box in relation to the rods, which comes in handy when your lens center to rod center height is slightly off from the standard. Two rotating filter stages support the use of 4×4″ filters. The matte box comes with a top flag (eyebrow), side flags, four matte box donuts in 66, 72, 82, and 90 mm sizes, and elastic donut. The matte box also has a rear opening of 100 mm for lenses.
The included anti-reflection donuts prevent light behind the camera from reflecting off any filters in the matte box and degrading the image. Included with the matte box are anti-reflection donuts for lenses with a front outside diameter of 66, 72, 82, and 90 mm. The included elastic donut supports lenses with a front outside diameter between 66 and 90 mm, and it is especially useful with lenses that grow and shrink as you change focus or zoom. The side flags incorporate a hook design as a safety feature where they attach to the matte box. This helps prevent them from falling out of the matte box should the lockdown thumbscrew loosen accidentally. The swing-away bracket incorporates a height adjustment, enabling you to compensate a total of 0.65″ vertically. This allows you to use this matte box with a variety of camera/rod support combinations that may vary slightly from the industry standard 85 mm distance from LWS rod center to lens port center.

Follow focus friction & gear clic (FFCLIC)

The SHAPE Friction & Gear Follow-Focus Clic with Adjustable Marker is made of lightweight anodized CNC aluminum for strength and durability. It is designed to attach onto standard 15 mm rods of shoulder support rigs and other rigs. It attaches onto them via a clamp system, with simplicity. You would sit the Clic on top of the rods, and then slide and close a SHAPE-patented lever clamp underneath the rods, and the lever locks and holds the Clic securely on the rods.
The Clic’s focus mechanism also works with a clamp system, which when unlocked loosens the focus mechanism and allows it to be moved horizontally. It moves so to adjust itself closer to the lens. As it moves, its main feature — the focus disk — moves with it, and the focus disk is what reaches the lens. The focus disk can either be a friction wheel or a gear wheel. Both are present in this package and replacing one with the other is accomplished with the help of the included Allen wrench. The friction wheel has a rubber outer surface that would press up against the lens, keep firm contact with it, and ensure accurate and slip-free focusing. The friction wheel would serve well for most lenses and is made of high-quality rubber that in cold temperatures won’t get too cold to lose its grip. The gear wheel would accommodate those lenses that specifically have teeth on their focusing rings, and it would do so without any ring gears, by pressing its 0.8 pitch gears into the teeth.
The focus mechanism can be used on either the left or the right side of the lens, depending on the direction you place the Clic onto the rods in. And the focus disk itself can be used either in front of the focus mechanism or behind it, so to accommodate a wider variety of lens lengths. To move the disk to the rear, you would first just unscrew two screws from the gearbox. Once the screws are off, the focus disk can just be flipped over for use with longer lens constructions. The white mark disk at the right of the red knob is made of highly resistant Delrin thermoplastic. It can be written on with non-permanent markers to mark up focus measurements for various predetermined shots, and it is interchangeable and thereby many predetermined measurements can be kept ready at your side. Additionally, a slide-adjustable marker made of aluminum is included to be attached beside the mark disk and to be moved and tightened into positions along the disk.

Multipurpose mounting cheese plate (CP33)

SHAPE’s CP33 Multi-Purpose Mounting Cheese Plate will let you add various accessories and devices to your camera rig. Just attach it to any two 15 mm rods on your rig, and you’ll have a total of thirty-three 1/4-“20, 3/8″-16, and 10/32″ threaded holes to work with. You can attach accessories to both the front, back and sides, and in some applications at the same time — for example, you can have a battery plate on the front side and an AJA Ki Pro-recorder on the back. The holes on the side are the 10/32″ holes. Four are available on each side for audio receiver brackets. Another great accessory you can attach is an articulating arm. You can actually attach a bunch of articulating arms, each pointing in a different direction. The plate is 1/4”-thick and is precision-machined into one whole, aluminum piece. It comes with sets of screws for attaching the Ki Pro, IDX battery plates and Anton Bauer battery plates. The SHAPE cheeseplate also includes (8) screws to mount the AJA Ki Pro Mini, (4) screws for the IDX plate and (4) screws for the Anton Bauer plate.

Telescopic support arm 15 mm rod bloc (ARM2)

The Telescopic Support Arm with Rod Bloc from SHAPE is a variable length support arm designed to stabilize a shoulder rig while keeping the user mobile. The unit consists of an aluminum telescopic arm, Rod Bloc, and multi-function shoe which can be independently adjusted to the user’s preference. It can be adjusted at two points, from a minimum length of 14″ to a maximum of 20″. The top end of the rod is capped by an adjustable single-knob joint which supports and positions the CNC machined aluminum Rod Bloc—the attachment points for a shoulder-mounted rig. At the arm’s base is an internal spring designed to provide added control when tilting vertically, allowing the user to capture a more stable image while in motion. The bottom end of the telescopic arm is fitted with SHAPE’s multi-function shoe—a cup-style base designed to rest against the user’s torso or in a support belt for additional stability. If needed, the shoe may be removed so that the arm may be used as a boom, providing a connection point for a monitor, microphone, light, and more. The support cup at the end of the arm rests on the SHAPE Belt rather than directly on the operator.

SHAPE belt (BELT1)

The SHAPE Belt is a professional video accessory designed to support any rig used with the SHAPE Telescopic Support Arm. The belt’s design utilizes two front-facing loops to support the cup of the SHAPE arm (ARM2), providing comfort and stability for the user. While wearing the belt, the user can retain easy access to other tools and accessories by attaching them to the additional exterior loops. Operator comfort is ensured via ample padding and a size-adjustable hook-and-loop fastener buckle.
