A ZUD 3/8 16 MALE is a short female rod that ends in a 3/8 16 male screw. It is primarily used to mount a lightweight accessory like a mic that attaches with a 3/8 16 screw to a rod so you can use a Zacuto quick release mount. It can also be used to attach these accessories to an empty rod port in a Zacuto Zwiss Plate or DSLR Zwiss Cage. The Zud is threaded on the inside so it can be extended with a Zacuto male rod of any length. Use a Zube to keep the rods tight and stop them from spinning.
