Thor NVS-3000 Series H.264 Network Video Server with support for RTSP, HTTP, UDP, and FTP - H-NVS-3000
Thor NVS encoders provide broadcast quality 1080p60 hardware encoding of HD video to H.264 streams. The H-NVS-3000 series is an FPGA type dedicated server & hardware codec. The unit is able to accept video from 3G-SDI, HDMI, or CVBS inputs, and encodes up to 5 output stream rates. Each stream can be down converted or scaled to reduce bit rate. All five IP streams are available as unique RTSP server addresses. In addition to RTSP streams, Thor NVS systems also can output more standard IPTV formats such as UDP, RTP, and IGMP Multicast. The compact enclosure is easy to power, with support for Power over Ethernet PoE as well as 12 VDC on a standard connector. This simplifies wiring by eliminating the need for a second cable for power. The H-NVS-3000 has a gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 port with full support for Power over Ethernet PoE. The encoders supports both CBR constant bit rate and VBR variable bit rate stream packetizing as well as a hybrid mode that prevents rapid changes in bit rate. In general the NVS line of encoders from Thor Broadcast are excellent field encoders for shooting, recording, and transporting broadcast quality video in H.264. A local USB 2.0 port allows the encoded video to be stored in configurable file segments with wildcard support. The system can be configured to also transfer files from the local storage to a remote FTP location. For PTZ or remote control equipment RS-422/485 serial interface is provided on terminal block connectors. Active X provides live viewing of the encoded video through Internet Explorer in real time. The web browser can also control a PTZ controller through the browser. Multiple users are supported with configurable permissions. Motion detection by screen location is supported, as well as email and SNMP alerts.
