Thor 4Ch ASI to DVB-S2 Satellite Encoder Modulator - H-4ASI-DVBS2
Designed for the highest possible reliability in digital satellite news gathering or DVB-S2 broadcast. Provides 4 ASI inputs (1+3 Fall over) as well as redundant power supplies that function in either hot or cold standby modes. The primary ASI input is constantly monitored by the system for faults in the signal, and can be programmed to transparently switch from one ASI input to another when signal loss or broken video is detected. This allows a user to implement multiple redundant encoders in an auto recovering configuration without the need for additional fall over systems. The modulator system is designed around the second generation DVB-S2 modulation protocol. This platform is able to realize all of the new advanced features not previously found under the DVB-S protocol. Most notably this system supports the highest bandwidth modulation via support for 32APSK constellations. Industry standard BISS encryption support is provided to secure digital transmissions and prevent unauthorized access to live feeds. Network management is provided for configuration and monitoring. In addition to DVB-S2 satellite RF, the processed program transport streams are also made available on UDP outputs with support for both unicast and multicast IGMP streaming.
Features:
Distribut ASI program streams with redundancy over Satellite RF
Latest Generation program stream modulator 32PSK
Controlled through web server on separate network port
