The ECM-FT5BC is an easy-to-hide flat-shape Electret condenser lavalier microphone delivering excellent sound reproduction in a stylish, ultra-miniature unit. The ECM-FT5BC is supplied with a Sony 4-pin connector (SMC9-4P), for use with DWX and WL-800 Series wireless systems. The water-resistant microphone is supplied with useful accessories, such as a tie clip, taping mount, and windscreen, making it ideal for a variety of applications where a discreet microphone system is required.

The slim 4.9-mm profile of the ultra-miniature ECM-FT5BC is designed to be easily concealed under clothing, and its sleek contours help prevent noise pick-up from garments.

Unique to Sony, the metal body of Sonys ECM-FT5BC offers increased durability and improved audio quality by blocking vibration and resonance. Another advantage of the metal construction is it shields the microphone, blocking RF noise interference.

Professional quality sound reproduction
The ECM-FT5BC has a frequency response of 40 Hz to 20 kHz, sensitivity of -43 dB and an inherent noise level of less than 26 dB SPL.

Water-resistant design
A moisture repellent screen covers the microphone aperture to help prevent sweat and dampness from entering the case.

4-pin connector
The ECM-FT5BC is supplied with a Sony 4-pin connector (SMC9-4P), for use with DWX and WL-800 Series wireless systems.

Tie clip and taping mount for attaching to clothing
A tie clip attaches the microphone to clothing by clipping on a pocket, button-hole or other suitable parts of a garment. A taping mount can attaches the microphone directly to the fabrics surface.

Windscreen
A small windscreen is used to suppress strong wind noise.
